Everyone is invited to celebrate Children's Book Week 2013! “Kid-Lit” lovers everywhere can join the fun at official events taking place in more than 50 cities nationwide May 13-19, 2013. There will also be a great number of locally-organized events throughout the country.

The Bookend Café is proud to support World Book Night again this year. World Book Night is an annual celebration designed to spread a love of reading and books. It will see tens of thousands of people go out into their communities to spread the joy and love of reading by giving out free World Book Night paperbacks on April 23, 2013.

As you know, we are a used book store.  While many people like come in and browse around the store waiting for a book to “jump off the shelf” at them, others come in looking for a particular title.  In order to help build up our inventory of requested books, we are running a contest, similar to the one we ran last year at this time.

After a long winter slumber, we are re-opening on Friday, March 29! We have many new things planned for 2013 but we are keeping all of your favorites!

We are still proud to serve Coda Coffee, an awesome organic and fairly-traded coffee. We will also continue to offer fresh-brewed iced tea, fruit smoothies, frozen frappes, and a great selection of baked goods and other food items.
